About La Habra
La Habra’s housing stock spans post-war bungalows, 1960s–1980s tract homes, and infill near Whittier and Harbor corridors. Many properties still run 100A services that cannot support today’s kitchens, mini-splits, and EV load without a planned upgrade. We model demand before recommending panel or rewire work, replace unsafe gear, and document everything for resale and insurance. For commercial clients we handle small build-outs, lighting upgrades, and panel work with the same communication standards — quality work, not the cheapest bid.

Most panel change-outs take one day (often 4–8 hours of power-off work). Utility meter appointments, underground service, or a full service relocation can add schedule time. We confirm the timeline after we see your panel and coordinate with the utility when needed.
No — service and panel work is not DIY. In California, electrical contracting for hire requires a C-10 license, and even homeowner work still needs permits and inspection. Mistakes at the service equipment create fire and electrocution risk. We handle permit, utility coordination, and inspection.

What La Habra Customers Say About Panel Upgrades
Trusted panel upgrades services in La Habra
"I’m extremely satisfied with the electrical work done in my home. From the initial quote to the final walkthrough, the team was knowledgeable, courteous, and efficient. They upgraded several outlets, installed new lighting, and fixed an issue with my breaker panel—all at a fair price. They showed up on time, communicated throughout the process, and made sure everything was working perfectly before leaving. I’ll definitely be using them again for future projects."
"Great experience, everything went smoothly. All my questions were answered. All work was done to code and all inspections were done quickly with no problems. I would highly recommend First Electric. "Electric panel upgrade, he was polite, professional and very helpful"
"I needed an electrical panel upgrade so I went to YELP for a referral. I requested several quotes and Michael was the first to respond (within minutes). We scheduled an appointment for the following day. He showed up at the precise scheduled time and thoroughly inspected the project and gave me a detailed plan on what was needed. After evaluating several other companies, I decided to go with Michael. His wasn’t the most expensive nor cheapest but his professionalism helped make my decision. He pulled the permit and contacted Edison before starting the job. About a week later we scheduled an appointment for installation, most of which was completed the first day. He came back the next to finish up a few things (cleaning the area each day.) He scheduled his patch & repair person in the following days and the final inspection. My only complaint would be that his patch & repair person was not as meticulous about cleaning the area after he finished his job. Otherwise, from start to finish I am pleased with the outcome. I told Michael he’s my electrician for life now!! Don’t hesitate in hiring him - you won’t be disappointed."
"I recently had First Electric upgrade my electrical panel, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience! Michael came over to do the work, and he was super friendly and really knew his stuff. He explained everything in a way that made sense, so I felt totally comfortable with the whole process. The upgrade itself was done quickly and without any issues, and Michael even noticed a couple of other things around the house that needed some attention, which he fixed right on the spot! I didn’t feel rushed or pressured at all, which I really appreciated. If you need any electrical work done, especially something as important as a panel upgrade, I’d definitely recommend First Electric. I’m so glad I went with them!"
